AppleScript problem with "choose color"
Hi All,
I've been trying to figure out why my old color changing script hasn't been working in BBEdit 8.7.2 and Mac OS X 10.5.6 on an Intel Mac. Here's the basic problem.
In script editor, enter the following script:
set new_color to choose color display dialog new_color as string
The color picker is displayed and after selecting a color and hitting OK, I see a string displayed like this "180691724738169". Internally that's the three part color {18069, 17247, 38169}. Perfect.
If I save that script and run it from BBEdit, I get 000 returned.
If I try to add a default color like this:
set new_color to choose color default color {30000, 15000, 45000}
It works fine in script editor but from BBEdit instead of getting the new color returned I get back the initial default color.
Is this a bug or something I'm doing wrong? Thanks for any advice.
Sincerely,
Paul Burney
