No matter whether I have "Auto-expand tabs" set in Editor Defaults or in the language-specific preferences, any time I use cmd-[ or cmd-] to change the indent level of existing text, it replaces the existing spaces with tabs. I know there was a problem with this back in 9.2.1 but it was supposed be fixed in the subsequent update.
This is making a mess of my python files, as when I try to adjust indent levels I now have to be sure to "Detab" every line I adjust. As far as I can tell, the "Auto-expand tabs" settings are completely ignored with regards to "Shift Left" (cmd-[) and "Shift Right" (cmd-]). Does anyone know of a workaround to fix this problem?
Thanks!
