This works, but for curiosity's sake I'd like to know if there's a way to open a (currently active) doc in a new window without generating an 'Unnamed n' window along with it.
tell application "BBEdit" if class of window 1 is text window then set f to file of document 1 of text window 1 set w to make new text window open f opening in w close document 2 of text window 1 end if end tell
Also, is there a way to, for example, hold down the Control key while dbl-clicking on a BBEdit file to have it automatically open in a new window by itself?
