I really want a keystroke or modifier-click to "Replace All in
Selection". The idea is that "In selection" remains unchecked most of
the time, but is just turned on long enough to perform the occasional
operation. Many editors offer option-Replace All to do this, but
BBEdit has nothing (and has no plans to offer anything).

I've tried to write an AppleScript to do the job, but I can't figure
out how to get the current "Find:" and "Replace:" text from the Find
window. The last find and replace text used in a find/replace
operation is available as an application property, but that is not
necessarily the same as the current text. The find text is available
as a Find window property, but not the Replace text. Don't you just
love AppleScript?

Any hints? Has anyone solved this? Does anyone know of a keyboard
macro program that is smart enough to be able to tell when a checkbox
is already checked (if "In selection" is already checked, the macro
should leave it alone to avoid replacing the whole document)?
