find fails with doesn't understand the find message
I want to find the string in the text and use the grep subselection and assign it to a variable. However, I get the message that "DATE LICENSE ISSUE\\r([^\\r]+)\\r" doesn't understand the find message. I don't understand why this doesn't work, but I'm sure I have screwed up the syntax somehow. Does anyone know how to make the find command work? Thanks.
Oh, I am using the older version of BBEdit, but surely someone can point me in the right direction.
tell application "BBEdit 6.5" find "DATE LICENSE ISSUE\\r([^\\r]+)\\r" options {search mode:grep, starting at top:true, reverse:false, wrap around:false, case sensitive:false, match words:false, extend selection:false} searching in text 1 of text document 1 with selecting match
set myVar to (grep substitution of "\\1")
end tell --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BBEdit Talk" group.
