problem writing some text into an open document
BBEdit version 9.5. My applescript Â…
1. examines a bbedit text document 2. populates some lists with parts of the data 3. does some math on the contents of the lists and 4. fails when I attempt to write the new data at/into (the end) of the same open document.
In the past, with scripts of very similar structure, it has always been possible to use commands such as:
copy tab to the end of its text or copy return to the end of its text or copy (item 1 of anyList) to the end of its text
but, now these attempts throw up an error "BBEdit got an error. Can't set end of every text to " ". And the script result is "BBEdit got an error: Can's set end of every text to \" \"." number -10006 from last insertion point of every text"
Has something in BBEdit scripting changed? Anyone else encountered this?
